Selling Bicycles online

Hard to believe that it has been 18 months since launching this business.
This is such a cool industry to be in. I love providing beautiful, quality, bicycles that were designed to my specifications. I also love hearing how happy my customers are, and knowing that if they ride often they not only benefit themselves but society as well. 
Everybody wins!


I have attended several bicycle industry shows. I've been to Shanghai, to Taipei, and closer to home to Interbike in Las Vegas. Interbike is the largest gathering of the bicycle industry in North America.  This is an exciting industry to be in. Going to the shows exposes me to the latest and greatest ideas and products.




I also attend seminars to better educate myself about the industry. It is interesting to note that some of the most well attended seminars at these shows are discussions on how the internet is affecting the industry. As with many industries, bicycle retailers are nervous about the competition and the unknown. 

Many established retailers know bicycles, but being older and/or not very tech savvy. they are scared that this might be happening. It is not really fair to the local retailer, but we all know it sometimes happens.

In the 18 months since launch we have been true to our original plan and goal and continue to do all our marketing online. I have learned so much. I have learned that getting people to take notice takes work. Blogging helps. Social media helps. Advertising of course helps, but as a young startup I am trying to let my customers and my product do a lot of the selling. I am lucky in that my customers are giving me great feedback.
