September 11th

Today is my birthday, and I get to celebrate by spending some time with my grandfather who was born exactly 62 years before me. We share not only our birthday, but also our name.
He has given me big shoes to fill.
Seizing the moment is my Grandpa's approach to life.
His favorite quote is all about the value of time.
We share this philosophy, along with a love of family, a love of travel and an abiding faith.
There is a story told of a man who, like me, shared the name of his grandfather. Years after his grandfather passed away his grandfather appeared to him in a dream and asked, "I would like to know what you have done with my name." In the dream the man was able to respond: "I have never done anything with your name to which you need be ashamed."
The example my grandfather has set for me is one that I will try to emulate.

“If you don’t set a baseline standard for what you’ll accept in life, you’ll find it’s easy to slip into behaviors and attitudes or a quality of life that’s far below what you deserve.” – Anthony Robbins
