Baseline Bicycles is back!
We thoroughly
enjoyed our vacation to Europe (see preceding post). We took a ton of
pictures, but will just share one with you here, a picture of a cool fixie we
saw in Barcelona.
We made it back
just in time to celebrate the last day of National Bike Month. We hope that
everyone will join us in taking advantage of this beautiful time of year and
get on your bikes and ride. (Take a friend.)
One bit of trivia
is that National Bike Month has been celebrated since 1956. Although the times
have changed the joy and benefits from riding your bicycle remain the same.
Opie knew it, Elvis knew it, and so do we.
National Bike
Month is Sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists. From their website we
learn more about the organization. Their Beliefs, their Vision and their
Mission are shown below in red.
WE
BELIEVE
Bicycling brings people together.
When more people ride bikes:
Life is better for everyone;
Communities are safer, stronger and better connected;
Our nation is healthier, economically stronger, environmentally cleaner and
more energy independent.

OUR VISION
is a nation where everyone recognizes
and enjoys the many benefits and opportunities of bicycling.
OUR
MISSION
is to lead the movement to create a
Bicycle Friendly America for everyone. As leaders, our commitment is to listen
and learn, define standards and share best practices to engage diverse
communities and build a powerful, unified voice for change.
We
couldn't agree more. It is an organization that everyone who loves bicycling
should support. Now,
For those of you who ordered your bikes in
May, your bikes have already shipped!
If you were waiting for us to return
before placing your order do so now, so that you will have your bike to enjoy
for the entire summer. You'll never look better than when you are seen riding
one of our fixies.
